![]() ![]() I plan to rewire this because my addition is going to wrap that porch around to the back and I need switches out the back door. they are staggered so that if one light uses switch 1, the two next to it use switch 2. 14/3 used from two breakers to a double gang box with 2 SP switches. I have MWBC that works two banks of lights in the covered porch. The ground bar that you got for this should be able to allow you to install up to # 4 wire which you only need to have a #6 for your grounding wire for your 100 amp box. 'm not sure why you need a ground lug kit. I know that I need to remove the bar tieing the two bars (neutral and ground) together and the lug kit they want you to by is for bonding and for the ground feeder wire connection I guess. Maybe by another ground bar kit with a lug? I wanted to stick with Siemens just because that is what my main panel is. What it doesn't tell you is that to use it as such you need to purchase a ground "lug kit" which as far as I can tell is not locally available and may be upwards of $30 if I do find one.Īnyone have any ideas of alternative to make this work out or should I take it back and get a different panel. The box touted the fact that is comes with seperate ground bar so that it could be used as a subpanel. I think I got tricked into thinking I was saving money. I just finished looking over and reading about the new panel I just purchase to use as a subpanel in a new attached garage.
